XNA platformer concept art

The picture below is the first of the character sprites for the game, hopefully once I have all the assets for the first level I can actually code it.

Hey guys, I'm looking into coding this but the aim is 5 levels and a final boss, once we have the assets we can code it over a 2-3 week period and then put it on xbox live as an indie game on the xna creators club community. Here's the concept art I've done so far, me and tom talked about the levels and decided, egyptian, roman and possibly medievil.

Bedroom Scene continued...

Chair
Spent a while making this chair for my bedroom scene. Most of the detail is underneath which is a shame as you can't see it in most shots. The chair is a replica of the one on my room except not all old and ragged.











Bedroom
Added the chair to my bedroom scene and also did a proper carpet and stuff. Here's what the/my bedroom is looking like now.












Update #1
Dont' know if you guys are still checking here but I am still working on my bedroom set. I have made some stuff on the desk, the door frame and door, the border at the top of the room and some other things too. The aim is to eventually make a short film using this set and the dragon I am creating although there is still some way to go before animating can even start. Coming soon should be the monitor/computer screen for the desk, keyboard and the window and window frame.

ADAPT

Hey guys, I started building characters for the first person shooter ADAPT, was planning to give the character mech style legs. I'll probably change some features and add more detail. this would be one of the main characters.

This is the first draft of the gun I designed. Its pretty low detail but it will be textured with the same detail as my drawing which should make it look a lot better.

lol 11 hours with 3000 samples per pixel and seems to need longer to render...

Jack's Walk Cycle

This is the walk cycle I created as a basic walk cycle for my first hero character.

The video below is a cycle of push ups i made for my character.

I'm currently working on the next heroes. I should have 3 done by the end of today and an animation for one showing his powers.

The video below is the 3rd hero, performing a warm up routine, this isnt that great si i'm still working on the animation.

Bedroom Scene

Thought I'd just make a new post so people notice it rather than update the old bedroom post anymore. Anyway, been working on my bedroom scene a bit, mainly just getting my objects together and proportions and all that stuff.

Loosely based around my room now as I modelled all the furniture in my room lol.

Probably gonna do the windows and door next and then I'll need to make a bed and a chair. Also I'll need a lot of other objects such as computer, TV and just other clutter really but all this stuff can be put on the website as well so thats ok.



Update #1
Carrying on with my bedroom scene, changed the perspective, added a new style of dvd case, got the actual picture to use as a texture for the picture on the right. Started adding holes where the windows and door and will hopefully model the frames for these next or maybe make a computer.

Heroes animation

I'm gonna try and do a heros animation, about 15 secs for each character to do something to do with there powers, gonna edit it loads in after effects to make it look really comic book style.

I used a generator to make the character costumes, theres an image below.

City generator

Thats one of the cities I made with the generator, its fine to use this software as its a free source for python. we can modify them to make them original, thinking of adding lakes or bridges but as a general backing for a scene they work really well.

Shed




Well heres my disney stlye shed, I want to make a house using a similar stlye but for quickness to see how it went I created a Shed.

Bedroom

Thought I'd make some faster stuff to balance out from the dragon which is taking ages. I started making a DVD case and then I thought I could go for a sort of bedroom theme.











So the main assets here are the mirror and the dvd case but I plan to make more stuff you might get in a bedroom and add them to the scene
hopefully.







Added some more stuff, all pretty simple models. The whole in the wall is where I hope to put a window. Looks ok but I would like to improve it a lot.







I nice set of drawers. I can use these in my bedroom scene at some point, but they can also go on the website.













A nice wardrobe to go with the bedroom set.



















Random comb. Looks alright. Could be added to my bedroom set at some point.
Back to the bedroom furniture today. Modelled my desk. Think it's looking alright. Ready to go on the website and will be good for my bedroom scene which I am hoping to update soon enough.

Dragon Warrior

I did that scene tutorial with nodes and added some characters to it, scenes like this are pretty easy to design so we can det some good renders, i may do the barrel tutorial and add some barrels / crates to the scene. then think about position and stuff aswell.
















This character could rid the dragons, we could invent a sport that they play in the animation and we could texture different warriors and scale them to different sizes.
